The C.J.A. bookpublication supplies a comprehensive view of the present, internationally acting Japanese design scene, its formative methods and strategies and here likewise experiences, impressions and backgrounds which the respective designers experienced and finally also realised in several projects. Over 60 interviews which were carried out in Japan, led to exciting and revealing statements and expert opinions from internationally established designers about the current situation and future trends in contemporary japanese design. Thereby 4 different fields - architecture, graphic design, product design and popular culture - were focused as individual but interrelated modules. The internationally estimated Japanese design, is recently strengthened in a return to traditional Japanese design procedures and philosophies, which on the other hand are combined with modern possibilities of realisation. C.J.A. will be published at internationally reowned Art Publisher Hatje Cantz as a complex arranged art book, which additionally will act as reference book and professional literature. |
